Aarti Sangraha

Aarti is a Hindu religious ritual of worship, a part of puja, in which light is offered to one or more deities. Aarti(s) also refers to the songs sung in praise of the deity, when the light is being offered.

Aarti of a deity is a profound act and verbal expression of devotees love, gratitude and prayers. Hinduism has a long tradition of aarti songs. It eulogises the deity that the aarti is dedicated to. It is performed in every home and temple, in the morning and evening with great joy, devotion and enthusiasm in Hinduism. Aarti singing is generally accompanied by clapping and ringing bells to enhance the spiritual experience as we try to please and welcome the divine into our lives.
